Compositing Supervisor @ Ingenuity Studio
Workshop (04/09/2018 02:40pm – 03: 40pm)
Whether you call him Philip, Phil, or Dimples, his love of visual effects was the result of a boundless imagination as a child. The pursuit of story telling and world building eventually brought Phil from his hometown in Massachusetts to Orange County, California to attend the prestigious Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University where he graduated with a B.F.A. in Digital Arts. Phil then moved to Los Angeles with the same passion he had as a child and helped supervise the award winning short film Dust while also working with brands such as Hisense, KFC, and Coca Cola to create premium commercials. Phil has worked at the Los Angeles and New York based Ingenuity Studios for the past three years and is currently the visual effects supervisor of the company’s New York branch. He helms effects for numerous projects across many formats, some of which have included television episodes of Modern Family, Colony, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the Taylor Swift music videos Bad Blood and Wildest Dreams, Imagine Dragon’s music video Thunder, feature films Get Out and Geostorm, and commercials for Smirnoff, Western Digital, and NASCAR. A believer that the work reflects the team, Phil is focused on using his East Coast drive and West Coast attitude to develop the strongest and most fun group of talent possible in New York, and is thrilled about his current and upcoming projects.
